Like snaimon siad, see if you can get a old sim from somebody or just walk into a Cingular store and ask that you want to test something that they give you an old sim. All you need is a sim that's not Tmobile's.

Believe it or not, I just threw my old AT&T and MTN Nigeria sims one day this week. I could have easily sent those to you to test with.

Phones: Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, Samsung Galaxy A50, ASUS zenfone 3,
Sim cards: AT&T (Contract), 3 UK, Piranha Mobile

Stan and Bossman... Thanks. Since I don't know anyone with a Cingular cell phone, I'll take the phones to a Cingular store or Kiosk at a non-busy time and see if they will help.
Stan- I paid an average of $32 for the seven Motorola V66 phones I bought. I forget which forum turned me on to the V66's, but they seem like a great choice for a simple, no frills phone for foreign travel.
