Default Lycamobile - 16-08-2013, 15:35

Does anyone have any thoughts on Lycamobile? I was initially looking at Lidl, which still looks like a good deal. But I noticed Lycamobile.

Lycamobile | National Rates

Looks like they charge (in Euros):
15 cent connection charge.
1 cent/minute to call landlines
9 cent/minute to call mobiles
15 cent/SMS
19 cent/MB

Calls to other Lycamobile users are free per minute. Not sure about a connection charge.

Actually Lycamobile seems to have decent prices in the countries that they are in.

Anyone have experience with them?

Lyca charges a call set-up fee of € 0.15 and they are constantly changing their tariffs especially when it comes to data. Also they have had repeated outages of their data service.

Thanks for the feedback.

Can I assume Lidl does a better job with their data?

Lyca definitely offers better coverage as they use the Vodafone network while Lidl is based on O2, but they have been less reliable so far.
