Anyone use Tuenti on an iPad, including tethering? Their app. looks like it's more for iPad.
So I've used my 12 GB summer bundle for 10 days, used about 4 GB. Hotels have had good wifi so I haven't used it as much as I could. But current hotel room only gets 3G so using Wifi.

I drove across the border to Biarritz. Only get 3G on Bouygues, full signal along the waterfront. But only under 10 Mbps down.

Plus no tethering while roaming on Bouygues. Tried playing with settings and it says to contact Movistar.

Really a disappointing first experience with RLAH. I'd been tethering two iPhones to my iPad with the Tuenti SIM so roaming at 3G without tethering in NOT the same experience as at home.

Maybe because it's an MVNO? Maybe the actual Movistar SIM would roam at LTE with tethering?

Or maybe better luck with Orange and Vodafone since those carriers are also in France?

Oh well, I think I probably won't top up for a trip to Germany and Austria next month.

Tuenti uses a different IMSI in roaming, not the Movistar one. So it is possible that they limit roaming to 3G and have different roaming partners.

According to the EU Regulation no operator should be allowed to block tethering, does not matter whether in roaming or not.

Orange Mundo SIM was blocking tethering in roaming last year. I don't know, what Simyo does. Both of them do 4G roaming in many countries.

Carrefour Movil, which became Spain’s first MVNO when it launched on 27 October 2006, has announced that it is planning to terminate its service on 31 December 2017. The supermarket-backed virtual operator is inviting affected customers to port their numbers to an alternative provider with immediate effect, and notes that a deal is in place with host network Orange Espana, which will allow users to move to Orange, or one of its sub-brands Jazztel and Simyo and receive a seamless service.

Flying out of Spain back to the US, connecting in Amsterdam.

Tuenti roams on KPN 3G. Good signal strength but speed is less than 3 Mbps.

Looks like tethering will work, unlike in France. But at low speeds, I'm using Wifi, which isn't that much faster.

Back in the US.

Tuenti roams on T-Mobile 3G, getting about 2.3/1.7 Mbps.

Oh well better than nothing.

Llamaya has very good Datapacks: https://www.llamaya.com/tarifas-prepago/bono-datos/

I'm usind the 12 GB option. I'm roaming to europa with it and if it will desactivate, because I didn't topped it up i will buy a new simcard.

Back in the US, it roamed on T-Mobile and the speeds were okay, nothing to write home about but I didn't have to tether to my iPhone or look for Wifi.

Now I'm in Austria via MUC and it's still working, speeds are 2-3 Mbps. It's approaching 2 months since I ordered this. Tuenti has sent me several emails, including several to recharge. Every time I go to a new country, it sends me instructions on how to set up roaming.

I don't know why it's still working. It was only suppose to last 30 days. If it roamed at LTE speeds in other European countries, I definitely would have recharged.

I still bought a local SIM for Austria.
