Alcatel OT 665 - unlocking

I like NFH’s idea but I would like to get this unlocking underway ASAP. Following on from tamla’s suggestion, I paid 9.99 € to mobileunlocked.com to have my old phone unlocked. They’ve just e-mailed to say:

“Our system has just reported that the order is taking longer than the average delivery time quoted on our website. We sincerely apologise for the delay. We will be contacting our supplier for Alcatel unlocking, to speed up the process any way we can. We'll get your order completed as soon as possible.”

Not sure what to do for the best when I’m in the UK: I currently have an Orange (now EE) package for homebroadband with free phone calls to most places. I don’t travel around much in the UK and am unlikely to need internet access for an iPhone 5. Can someone pse recommend (a) PAYG for phone calls only and (b) phone calls + occasional internet use?
