How about roaming within the eu for data?

Also one other thing should be noted.....UK sim cards are for the most part FREE (or have been unless recently changed) and with the exception of O2, can be topped up for as little as £5. Also most do not require a top up every 6 months or so to remain active....any paid event will do the trick and with Orange, it's a full 12 months.
