Hello,

Data on US-networks is (still) quite expensive. Not for the iphone, but for a connection via Huawei-USB-Modem stick, I did the following:

I went to an (real!) AT&T store and asked for a prepaid SIM. Just the SIM, w/o a phone. Then I asked to put the 200 MB option on it.

It took a while, then I got a SIM (for free) and the 200 MB activated. It was 19.99$ + tx.

Data is working with these settings:
APN: wap.cingular
No user, no pw needed

Skype is working, too!

With a E160 I get connected to the UMTS network, HSPDA is working, too!
