![]() Does the old US/Canada-only SIMple Calling SIM that charges 20-cent set-up fee in US & 50-cent fee for Canada still exist? It sounds like the new dual-US/UK SIM is more expensive within the US & Canada and I just ended up getting lucky buying the older version.

25cents for calls from US and 45cents for calls from Canada. This did not have a connection fee. All minutes cost the same. The other SIM card had a 50cent connection fee [still shown on ebay offers] and 9cents for USA origin calls and 29cents for Canadian origin calls. The only place I have seen the 35cent connection charge is when I sign into my account and look at 'My Service'. I have also tested the charge with an incoming and outgoing call which charged me 44cents= .09+.35. Futhermore than, the rate is now better than before than the old card because the connection fee is less: 35 rather than 50 cents. In addition, there is the UK number and international roaming. Of course, I am the only one who so far has seen and reported on this and the web offers of telestial and ekit don't show it [hopefully yet!]. I suspect some of the others who have the new card will verify it as soon as they see this message because the value of the card has just increased for them due to lower user cost. There are currently two available SIMple Calling plans. The one I got I have only seen on eBay. The other one is also available on eBay but also at telestial's and ekit's web site. |
