Default waiting... - 31-12-2009, 16:48

Received this 3 days ago after I contacted them. I'm surprised they replied, but still have my doubts since we've been promised this before.

Thank you for your continued interest in resuming your services with us.
I am delighted to announce that our new SIM cards are in stock!! You will
receive guidance shortly for providing us your current mailing address so
that we may ship the new SIM to you free of charge. Any remaining credit
that you had, will be transferred to your new SIM. Thank you so much for
your patience. You will be hearing from us with further instructions in
the next several days. Again, we truly value you as a customer and look
forward to bringing you the best in wireless. Thanks!

I have also contacted them, some months ago, but still no reaction in any way.
No email, no card, no nothing...
I assume my 40 Euros are gone.

No reaction yet from Yackie. I emailed them in March and I got a reasuring answer telling me that my SIM card "was on the way, soon"...

Anyone else had any luck?

So has anyone actually gotten the promised "replacement Yackie" card they emailed us about? I was never mailed one, and wasn't really expecting they would send one, so I got a MaxRoam card as a replacement. Curious to see if Yackie will actually follow through and reissue sim cards that are non-Iceland based...

No. I do not expect it to be a quick fix for yackie. First they have to find a carrier that they can work with.

Same here. I will use my maxroam sim primarily when I head out on a Western caribbean cruise (Roatan, Honduras. Belize, Cozumel, Mexico, and the Bahamas) in a couple of weeks. My other sim, UM+ either does not work or is just too expensive.
