Yes, UM requires a chargable use every 9 months. But OP said calls still go to VM though. Which he can probably still check from a land line. I would think he would have received an appropriate message if the sim has been deactivated.

If you've used CBW exclusively during that time, it's possible that you haven't actually spent any of the time on the card- which would trigger deactivation per your user agreement.? Just a thought.
