I think the best option for your would be a Toggle Mobile SIM - toggle mobile

That way you would get a SIM card with the ability to sign up for 500MB of data for £5.00 (via text message) and be able to call the US for 3 pence per minute?

What size SIM do you need? I have a nano SIM I can send you for free - you'll need to register and load it with £10.00 of credit. It's suitable for an iPhone 5 or some of the latest Android handsets.

I also have a standard SIM pack (well, micro-SIM if you're being a purist) with £2.50 credit on it - I bought it for £5.00.
