Registering/Activating a Lebara or Lycamobile SIM in Spain?

I am going to Spain in a week, and was thinking of having a free Lebara or Lycamobile SIM delivered to my hotel. Both websites allow one to order a free SIM online.

However, it seems I still have to show up somewhere with the SIM and ID to get the SIM activated. When I emailed Lycamobile they said just go to a Lycamobile dealer. However, it seems to me that a Lycamobile dealer has better things to do than activate a SIM that I acquired elsewhere.

Any experience with this?
