04-12-2010, 11:49 learning by reading...thanks for this forum!! I still have some questions: I will be working in the Italian Alps for 6 months (coverage will not be perfect I know...) and would need occasional internet accesss for skype and my e-mails. 1.Which modem is necessary? Will it work with my FONIC surf stick? Or do I better buy a new one in Italy? 2. TIM offers 40 hours/month for 9€, and WIND "internet no stop", are there any additional costs? 3. Do both options allow skype? many thanks |

Country: | 06-12-2010, 10:14 If your Fonic stick is unlocked you can use that without any problem. Wind Internet no Stop officially doesn't allow VoIP, I don't know about TIM. If you buy a Wind usb stick you can activate the Mega Unlimited (5GB/month at full bandwidth) for 10€/month which is a good offer. And VoIP is allowed. There are no other charges. Country: | 15-01-2011, 09:12 For coverage check here: Wind - Privati - Copertura Rete Mobile TIM P.S. I regularly use voip on internet no stop. It's not allowed only officially. If you choose TIM remember: 40 hours are billed in 15 min session, so if you connect for only one minute you'll be charged of 15. When you finish your 40 hours bundle you pay (i don't know how much) |
