Hi, new user here, thanks for all the great info!

I have a Blackberry running on BES which I have just unlocked.

I am heading to Italy this Thursday July 17 for 16 days. Changing planes in Germany. We will be in Northern Italy - Venezia, Verona, Dolomites, Emilia Romagna and Liguria.

This will be a vacation so I don't plan to check work emails but would like to access my gmail account and do a bit of text messaging and web browsing; light data usage. I will be making several calls home to Canada and receiving a few as well. I do not expect to do much calling within Italy - mainly making reservations, calling hotels if lost etc.

In September 2008 and April 2009 I am going to Paris for a few days each time, expect more data usage on those trips.

I have looked at www.callineurope.com for the convenience but seems like it would be much less expensive to buy a card in Europe - preferably one that I can use later in France if the rates are good.

What would be the best card/package for me to consider? Thanks for your help!
