![]() I'll be in Italy and France next month, and we know somebody who lives in Rome with an extra prepaid SIM she keeps for visitors, so I'll have that to take with me. I know I can use that for calls, but what about data? Is there a way for me to find out how much that costs (and will I need to connect to a local WAP server instead of the one I use with Cingular in the US for EDGE/GPRS)? Also, since I'll be roaming in France, what will call rates to the US be when I'm there?
Any info would be great. |

![]() If you click on "National Operators" link up above and then choose Italy and France you get all the information you need. Of course you have to know which provider your Italian friend is using for the spare-simcard... Wind would be probably the best solution.
