Three UK and Swipecards -

I bought a 3 UK prepaid SIM package off E-Bay for broadband usage in the UK. Everything arrived including a coupon for an hour of Skypeout calls. I didn't however see a swipe card in the package. Have things changed and more importantly, will I have any problems topping this SIM up.
Lastly, I'm putting the SIM into an unlocked Sierra USB modem, but am I better doing the initial setup with the SIM in a phone if I"m not using their proprietary modem? |

Shops that take the swipe card can print you out a voucher too. I never got a swipe card with my 3 SIM either although I presume a person can get one.
Hardware: Too much but notably iPhone 5, iPad Mini Retina LTE, Moto G LTE (N.A. version), iPhone 4. All unlocked. |

3 don't do swipe cards. Evoucher only.
