Country: | 05-08-2007, 04:51 So I think at present we can surmise that there are a few problems which seem correctable.. 1. There seems to be compatability problems which there are always seem to be with the callback sims but these seem a little bit worse than usual. 2. Caller ID exists and works....sometimes...it might be dependent on the roaming partner's capabilities. 3. There is a bit of a problem with the Jersey number insofar as receiving calls when the phone is off...instead of going into voicemail or giving a message the called party is unavailable (which was an early problem of UM+423 until they got that straightened out) the number is not recognized. Also many international ld carriers do not recognize the Jersey number (many of my US based carriers do not but some do; whether the calls will be billed as a UK mobile call I won't be able to find out for a while as because of the high rate of receiving calls in the USA to protect my credit, I have not allowed any calls either incoming or outgoing to actually be cmpleted but if the phone rings and I get a caller id I can surmise the number is active and working...... Agreed? |

Country: | 05-08-2007, 12:34 Did tryout my card and yes caller id did not work all the time. I don't like it when the phone is off callers get an error message. For now I will be using my old UM card and maybe in a few weeks when they have everything under control I will switch it off. I have always seen UM as a serious company versus companies like Yackie or others that keep switching and promising things. I can only asume that UM will be able to get everything going. |

Country: | 05-08-2007, 12:44 I agree, these seem to be just start-up troubles, I think (and hope) they will be solved soon. At this time, caller id doesn't work with any of the italian networks Tim, Vodafone, Wind. |

Country: | 05-08-2007, 19:45 I think the battle of the islands have begun... Iceland: 09 Mobile Liechtenstein: United Mobile Isle of Mann: GT-SIM (euro and aussie versions), Cherry Mobile, MeSIM, 0044... Jersey: United Mobile+, CallBlue The reason why i bring this issue up is UM+ won't allow/connect calls to +447624xxxxxx (which is most of the Isle of Mann SIMs) and most people won't connect calls to UM+'s +447937xxxxxx |

Country: | 05-08-2007, 21:58 Liechtenstein is even a "reverse" of an island - it's a "doubly landlocked" country http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landloc...bly_landlocked Going bach from OT - questions to Keighleyboy? What do you mean by: "The reason why i bring this issue up is UM+ won't allow/connect calls to +447624xxxxxx (which is most of the Isle of Mann SIMs) and most people won't connect calls to UM+'s +447937xxxxxx"? Is it impossible to call from UM+ to IoM mobile? Who is "most people" who " won't connect calls to UM+'s +447937xxxxxx"? |

Country: | 05-08-2007, 22:08 UM+ to IOM +447624xxxxxx always results in an error, never even gets to the call back stage to connect your call |
