![]() That's one of the older New York area codes. It's very unlikely you will find one. There was a guy on HowardForums that had a couple of tmobile sims with the 212 areacode he was giving away. I believe people jumped on them right away.
If I may ask, why do you need 212 specifically? Any area code should do since pretty much almost all mobiles have nation wide /long distance included. So, areacode should not matter, may be except for those that may be calling you from a land line. Also, it's probably good for business to haev a 212 areacode in New York. ![]() There are some on Ebay for sale. Plus I have found someone who is dealing with such numbers. I will use for business mainly. Any suggestions are welcome.

![]() Actually, I meant to say it's very unlikely you will find one too cheaply. Every now and then though, you may find someone that will give it out for free like the guy on Howard forums.
If you need it that bad for business, just get it on ebay then. Sim cards: AT&T (Contract), 3 UK, Piranha Mobile |

![]() You can change the area code on any TMO SIM, although they ask you for a location for the new number, not a specific area code. There's always a chance you might get 212, though since it's pretty full, it's not likely, though TMO evidently has some number ranges in it.

![]() From what I understood until now. There is every morning, when calling to CS of T-Mobile US, chance to get newly available (released) 212 area code numbers for that day.

![]() It's hit and miss to get a 212.
There are lots of other New York City area codes: 347, 718, 646, 917... Hardware: Too much but notably iPhone 5, iPad Mini Retina LTE, Moto G LTE (N.A. version), iPhone 4. All unlocked. |

![]() Another possibility: It shouldn't be any difficulty for you to get (say) 5-10 SIMs and try to change the number on each one. While most NYC numbers will not be 212, sooner or later you'll get lucky, and it might have set you back $60 or less on eBay if you combine shipping.

![]() Thanks for the idea. But at the moment I can get 212 number for USD 50 directly from my source( not auction). I might have some more news coming on the matter over the weekend.
