![]() Questions about HP InkJet printer's cartridges
Since everyone here seems to be pretty tech savy, perhaps a few here can answer some questions about HP injet cartridges. It has been about 15 years since I have had a printer or an interest in using one. With the miracle of wireless network printing I now have access to a HP InkJet Pro 8620 which uses 950 & 951 cartridges I am not even asking about refills or refurbs. 1. Can cartridges be pulled out and reinserted while the cartridge is not full or empty [miduse]? With no ill effect? Let's say, for example, I acquire some half full cartridges. Can I pull out a current cartridge and use the half full ones until empty and then put previous cartridge back in? 2. Is the expiration dates on the cartridges very important? 3. What is gained [by HP I assume] by having 'Setup' cartridges? 4. Any other comments? |

I think these cartridges need to be used on a new printer in order to guarantee that that printer is actually used. Otherwise some printers at some price points would be sold at a price where the cartridges in a printer box are worth more than the sale price of the printer. |
