![]() Hello all,
I am currently using Vodafone in Germany using the Smartfone Fun 9.99 plan. For this I get unlimited internet, only fast until 250MB, and the international calling plan. Basically I spend a lot of time in Germany and I would need to be able to call Canada and Poland, as well as Germany, and have as much internet as possible. I have also found that the card works very poorly in trains which has not been my experience in other European countries. Any advice appreciated. FYI, I have an iPhone 5S but with the Canadian LTE bands. Thanks! Prepaid CA: SpeakOut PL: Orange IT: Vodafone (2) JP: b-mobile data-only DE: Vodafone |

![]() Unfortunately, reception in trains in Germany is generally terrible with all networks. Not what you'd expect.

![]() Yeah... It's a bit strange - I was wondering whether it has something to do with the repeaters in the ICE? That they repeat the GPRS signal only?! It's so different than Italy, France, Switzerland or even Poland! BUT it's similar to Japan, where I have similarly found that it doesn't work (although the trains are going a few times faster...)
