13-06-2007, 16:47 What do you think? Will it flop or be a hit in USA? To be offered exclusively with ATT. Of course, time will tell. PERSONALLY, I would not switch even if the iPhone were free. Country: | 28-06-2007, 04:11 It will sell out, because Apple has that kind of power. It isn't a bad product, although it isn't as cutting edge as Apple would have everyone believe. The main innovations are the UI and the multi-touch screen. Most other features are ho-hum, and I suspect iPhone 2 will be a much more complete device (GPS, 3.2 or 5mp camera, TV-out jack, 3G) that are lacking in the current version. |

28-06-2007, 11:35 I also understand that the sim card can not be removed. This makes the phone useless if you want to go to Europe. I also understand that the battery has to be recharged. There is no replacement battery for the phone. I wonder what happens if you have a bad battery. Phones Gsm Iphone6+ |

I guess I am not the cool type. I conducted a very unscientific poll @ work and only 1 in about 15 was interested in the iPhone. The one person interested was turned off by the non-replaceable battery. I am not sure he even considered the full price-tag, minimum ~ $60 / month for 24 months for the plan. Country: | 28-06-2007, 12:41 So far, I've seen a lot of hopla but not much in the way of details. I'm not sure what it does that every other "smart phone" does not also do. |

Country: | 29-06-2007, 02:52 Another point against the iPhone is that it seems that it will only run software you download from AT&T. That means no Google-Maps, smsBug, etc. When you spend >$500 for the iPhone you are jusr buying a straight-jacket. |

Country: | 29-06-2007, 17:24 According to Steve Jobs announcement, the phone ships with Google Maps. You can run programs coded to Web 2.0 -- which means dumb widgets. I doubt it will support VOIP, but I think you could make an SMS widget. The phone has an external SIM card slot, so I doubt the Sim Card cannot be removed. The phone will be released tonight. I'd just wait until Tuesday of next week and then start reading. Tonight's impressions will be all over the map and people will make a number of good faith mistakes. |
