What is the best gsm carrier?

Hey,

I am from canada learning in america and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what would be the best prepaid gsm carrier (i perfer a tmobile offshoot) to go with if im looking for very affordable plans but good plans. i already have a tmobile unlocked phone all i need is a sim card and a good carrier. (im looking for something like Wind Mobile or Mobilicity in canada)
