![]() Those services were in trouble anyway, so I have read.
Any news on SUNSIM? I bought that one when it came out a few years ago. Do you think they will collapse, too? I read the website did not allow NEW purchases for a few days. That seems to be fixed now. When we were in France (July, Aug), my son had the SUNSIM phone. Used it for SMS while I was burning up calling minutes on the Travelsim. BALANCE retrieval did not work, however, from France. Service: US T-MO post paid (2) - US T-MO prepaid (2) - UM+ - TravelSIM DE SIMYO - DE SUNSIM T-Mobile DE Calling Cards: Onesuite Enjoyprepaid AT&T MCI Mobivox |

![]() Yep, I got the SMS as well. While Solomo is a great all-rounder, I was hoping they'd really go for it and adopt 01051's outstanding international call rates. But they didn't, sadly. Now there's no SIM with rates to the US (or most of Europe) of less than 9 cents a minute; surely that's an opportunity for someone.

![]() Why not make your own 5 cent/min SIM tarif to the USA?
"Avantaje" offers 4 cent/min Festnet (German landline) calls. Then simply use one of the 1 cent/min dial-through services to the USA. Voila! Your own 5 cent/min SIM tarif to the USA/UK/Europe! The official site for Avantaje is here: http://www.avantaje.de/ The same sim card (with 3 Euro call credit) can be bought for 4.95 Euro (+50c paypal fee) here: http://shop.karttel.de/ I bought my card at Karttel. It arrived the next day. I was able to immediately activate the card online. P.S. Donīt blame me when vistream assimilates Avantaje! |

Now i will for sure not buy another vistream-card. Noone knows when the next one will close down. I will buy a Mobi card (runs on Vodafone) which has 8ct/min to thailand + 15ct setup fee. ![]() Solomo Pro users, in particular, might find SparRuf – mit dem Handy billig ins Ausland telefonieren interesting. Note that it offers "free" international calls from your mobile (if you have a rare flatrate that covers all networks). It's a callthrough service, and the number is 01570 248 0000 - a Vistream number. Which means that Solomo Pro users pay only 5 cents a minute to access it.

![]() Solomo has excluded Sparruf's access number from network-internal billing (€ 0.05/min) quite a while ago, so with solomo pro you pay € 0.10/min to access that number, which is € 0.01 more than direct calls to most destinations with solomo pro. You should also consider, that when using Sparruf you pay already for the ringing or busy tone.
Anyway Sparruf is still attractive for people using other providers with expensive international rates, which are practically all except for solomo pro, Fonic and blauworld. postpaid: O2 on Business XL; prepaid: DE: Aldi Talk, Lidl; UK: 3; BG: MTel, vivacom; RU: MTS; RS: MTS; UAE: du Tourist SIM; INT'L: toggle mobile VoIP: sipgate.de (German DID); sipgate.co.uk (British DID); ukddi.com (British DID); sipcall.ch (Swiss DID); megafon.bg (Bulgarian DID); InterVoip.com |

![]() Oops, didn't realize that re:Vistream, though it's a good emergency international option for other providers. Thanks, Inquisitor.

![]() Solomo users should be aware that parent company Telogic has filed for bankruptcy, and the future of Solomo and the other Telogic brands is uncertain. A recent Solomo newsletter listed some "alternative providers" customers could use.
