![]() Can i use GPRS with prepaid in Israel ?
A september post in howardforum show me that both Bigtalk (Orange IL) and Talkman (cellcom) prepaid don't allow GPRS. What's the point now ? PS : is there an equivalent of CBW cheaper for israel (they are not very good for this country) ? I found jajah.com very cheap, but the callback is only web based. |

![]() My post-paid worked in Israel last month, but it was my understanding that prepaid is voice only. While I recognize that it is dangerous to compare Israel with its neighbors, this is fairly common in the Middle East. I'm not sure if it is to drive people to postpaid or for some security reason, but Lebanon and the UAE are the same way (personal knowledge). I have also been told (second hand knowledge) that many other countries in the region also don't offer data on prepaid.

![]() My postpaid also worked for GPRS (exept jawal, you can get it in Jerusalem but i don't plan to use it).
But with 2 cents/KB minimum 60KB, that's not very cheap. Especially when i know cellcom (and orange IL ?) postpaid data (EDGE/HSDPA) is unlimited. I thinked since there is MMS, about all operators give data access. I must find another data solution. And TIM is ending in june ![]() |

![]() You can have prepaid GPRS but WAP only with Orange IL. The prepaid is called BIG TALK cost around $20 with 5 minutes talk time.
You can top-up using recharging card available at SuperPharm (CVS like) or small cigarette shops. |
