quick calls and sms in italy and possibly spain

Hi all, just arrived in italy and was wondering if anyone knew which carrier had the cheapest call rates and sms in italy?

if one then goes to spain does one need a new one or can one use the same one?

i know this question has come up a million times but would really appreciate recent info on it.

If you go to Spain and use an Italian sim-card you will pay international roaming rates, which are not too expensive in the EU, but still more expensive than using a local sim-card.

sometimes there are recent deals that havent been uploaded to existing websites, like in australia the capped plans which are great prepaid deals but hard to find if just browsing or if one isnt that adept at the internet.

Of course the website is not always updated, but I'm Italian and I'm the admin of this website too, so usually Italian pages are rather updated. BTW talking about voice calls rates, they are quite the same since some years, so no big deals.
