![]() We travel to Germany frequently to visit my wife's family. A few years ago we purchased a phone and SIM (CallYa) SIM from Vodafone Germany. When we are there we have no issues with adding money to the account. However, my wife is going on a business trip to London, Paris and Munich. Is there a way to add time to her SIM from the US and if not can it be done in London which is her arrival city? Any help is appreciated.

![]() Use a British Vodafone topup, it'll work. Or buy a German one on eBay.

![]() You can purchase credit from https://secure.verivox.de/cards/index.asp?Lang=eng and pay by credit card.
But why do you still use this rip-off? Check out solomo pro, which is always way cheaper than CallYa. Especially when calling abroad (USA for € 0.09/min vs. € 1.99/min) and while staying abroad, as they've good roaming rates - incoming roaming calls cost € 0.10-€0.15 in most European countries, while Vodafone charges twice as much. The only disadvantage of solomo is, that they do not ship their cards to the US, so you need an European address for shipping. You can recharge the solomo pro SIM online by credit card and they also support automatic recharging, if you wish. postpaid: O2 on Business XL; prepaid: DE: Aldi Talk, Lidl; UK: 3; BG: MTel, vivacom; RU: MTS; RS: MTS; UAE: du Tourist SIM; INT'L: toggle mobile VoIP: sipgate.de (German DID); sipgate.co.uk (British DID); ukddi.com (British DID); sipcall.ch (Swiss DID); megafon.bg (Bulgarian DID); InterVoip.com |

![]() One nice thing, Vodafone has finally added the ability to top up by entering the code *100*(topup card code)#. Which is a lot faster than listening to the voice prompts, easier if you don't speak German or English, and probably more foolproof from abroad.
