![]() I would like to use Fishtext on my phone with O2 pay & Go. I do receive settings from O2, but still my phone is not able to send messages with fishtext. What can I do? I tried both a nokia 6300 and a N73. I especially would like my 6300 to work.
I'm in the Netherlands by the way, no idea if that matters. Non-active sims NL Qick, Easymobile, Tele2, Simyo, Rabomobiel, Vectone, UPC, GT Mobile, Orange, Hema, Lycamobile, Carey TZ Celtel Malawi Celtel Zambia Celtel SA MTN, Vodacom INT UM, UM+, Go Global Sim, Max Roam, 09 Sim |

![]() First make sure you can actually use GPRS with the settings you have. If you can, then try to figure out what fishtext is not working.
Sim cards: AT&T (Contract), 3 UK, Piranha Mobile |

![]() Fishtext is a Java-midlet. First of all Java-midlets often cannot communicate through WAP proxies, so you should try using a internet APN, which offers direct http-connections.
Secondly you must define in your phone, which APN to use for Java-midlets. In my Nokia N95 this is made under System/Settings/Connection/Packet Data postpaid: O2 on Business XL; prepaid: DE: Aldi Talk, Lidl; UK: 3; BG: MTel, vivacom; RU: MTS; RS: MTS; UAE: du Tourist SIM; INT'L: toggle mobile VoIP: sipgate.de (German DID); sipgate.co.uk (British DID); ukddi.com (British DID); sipcall.ch (Swiss DID); megafon.bg (Bulgarian DID); InterVoip.com |
