![]() Hi to you all and I present myself cause this is my first post:
I am Luca , an 25 yo Italian guy that lives in Belgium and I love to travel, that's why I ask this question: I am looking for a cheap GPRS card (or whatever) to surf on Internet while traveling in the car all around Europe... I live in Belgium and here is really easy to "be abroad" cause the country is very small, I would like to have at least the possibility to check emails and surf on some web pages during my trips with the car.. does someone have a solution for me? a flat rate or a "pay what you use" tariff, it doesnt matter, it should be cheap, I don't care if is not so fast... thanks in advance!! ![]() We've been struggling with data for years. That is why you are hearing silence. For a long time Wind out of Italy had an affordable package, but now it is gone. There is a Czech package posted in this forum that is pretty good, but is contract only.

![]() There may be others that I am not aware of. Howecer, while it's not realy that cheap, Virgin UK charges the same for data roaming or not. So, that is the card I use for data when I travel. It's half of what my provider AT&T charges for data roaming.

When will UM+ introduce data? They have claimed they intend to do this. If they can, that may be their big advantage IF the rate is low enough. One unpleasant alternative is a different SIM for each country you roam in. Rates in Germany are not too bad, right? ![]() I believe for South African data is better to use local Virgin SA SIM card. No idea about Brazil.

![]() I'm guessing that I'll be in South Africa for roughly one week. I didn't think it was worth getting a prepaid, but I'm rethinking.
