![]() Hi,
after reading the thread about the italian DID number i follow up with the question about a US DID. - Voicestick now charges 1.8ct/min for inbound calls on the DID - Stanaphone doesnt accept registrations anymore and on my old account no matter what i setup on my VoIP-device the call reaches voicemail - IPKall registration works fine - but the number always gives a busy signal - freedigits.com registration works fine - but you can not login to the website afterwards... Any other suggestions? The area code is not that important - 507 code would be nice though. ![]() Assuming you do not mind paying a monthly fee, what about Kall8 and les.net. I think kall8 is $2/month. I use les.net and it's $1/month.

![]() I agree...voicestick is probably still the best way to ago. As long as it works. les.net is a whole lot more stable than voicestick, and that's why I do not mind the monthly fee. Their rates are definitely higher too.

![]() With all these incoming charges on DID, I recall that you used to be able to get some dirt cheap North American 800 numbers a while ago. I'm sure there were some at something ridiculous like 2c/min???

![]() I had a further look on http://faq.sipbroker.com/tiki-index....r%20DIY%20VoIP
Apparently it was NuPhone. They now seem to do it at 3c/min with a $3 monthly charge.... though this is not that clear. Sorry this is off topic... but I thought I would mention it just in case as there appears to be not that much difference in price between a DID having a real area code to a 800/888 (and also if you're only expecting low call volumes). Just note that some North American Tollfrees work across 50 states, some only 48. Some Canada, some not. Some charge extra for payphone access. http://www.supernettel.com/TollFree.htm seem to include all the options (Payphone, Canada, Hawaii and Alaska) for 4c/min incoming! |
