![]() I have to say at first, that I especially dislike Phillipino network operators
![]() But now GLOBE launched the first real unlimited and only time-based international roaming rate I know of to 50 major markets. https://www.telegeography.com/produc...-50-countries/ It is called "Globe Prepaid Roam Surf" and can be booked on all Globe prepaid SIM cards. If this is true what they are saying, it's a smash and unique. They include major networks in Australia, China, Japan, Hongkong, India, South Africa, many EU countries, Singapore, USA, Canada - so far in 50 countries: http://www.globe.com.ph/help/interna...-surf-prepaid? Their rates:

A hidden FUP??? ![]() Back in 2014 Globe introduced the same rate to its postpaid customers. Any experiences? Although the rate is pretty high, I never saw a price like this for real unlimited roaming in major markets on prepaid. |

![]() This is interesting. I read through the FAQ.
They emphasize 'surf' ==web and email and chatting. What are the speeds? 3G or 4G or dare I even ask LTE? If this is viable, perhaps we will see more like this in the future. Does this raise the bar for international SIM card data pricing? It uses AT&T in the USA. Too bad I don't use data or currently travel internationally. A nice feature is it seems to not charge you until you successfully connect to the network you will be roaming on. |
