Does a Vodafone IT Prepaid SIM work in the US?

I'm just getting ready for a trip and trying to see if the SIM is any good. I can't get it to log on to TMobile or ATT?

If iOS 8's wifi calling feature get widely adopted, it will be a godsend for this.
