Data usage in France - Cheaper to use UK t-mobile?

I've got a contract phone with T-mobile UK and plan to holiday in France.

With the cheaper EU data roaming rates, it seems like T-mobile UK roaming will be about as good as finding a pre-paid french card for data. Is that correct?

I'll only be using minimal data, so am thinking of just buying the £1 3mb 24hr booster as and when I need them.
