I got a prepaid ekit simcard for an old blackberry tour I had on Sprint. The cards make calls fine, text fine, but I want to at least use the twitter app, or text images (MMS?). On the ekit website, there is a 'add data plan' option for my account, but when I use the pulldowns for my phone, says the setup feature is not available and gives me settings to enter the DNS and stuff.

Is it possible to use data on a blackberry? i've read some stuff about having to have a blackberry plan or something? If I can't get data, anyone know how to text my tweets to my account? |

eKit doesn't support Blackberry data, but you can get some apps working. Take a look over at Howard Forums, there is a long running thread on various tricks to get many apps working. You need, however, to have the phone activated on a Blackberry service for a day to get things started. Email is a bit tricky. Most people used GMail which no longer offers a Blackberry client. Other clients that you might want to check out are Tiggit, Logicmail, and Astrasync.
