With Isle of Man SIMs being UK based numbers has anyone actually tried moving your own number to another UK based mobile network?

For example moving a GT-SIM number to someone like O2-UK

I'd say there's no chance at all. These are Manx Telecom numbers, regulated in the Isle of Man. There isn't even number portability between local operators yet here (i.e. MT to C&W), at least last time I checked.

Which is a pity, as I had a nice memorable GT-sim number.

(easyroam beat me to it while I was checking the C&W site - no mention of porting numbers there).

I have nice numbers with GT-SIM (euro and aussie versions), FreeGlobalSIM.com, 0044 (old SIMazing version), MeSIM and Cherry Mobile all of which will now be lost if nothing is resolved at CallKey

Would be nice if someone else took over if CallKey does go like Manx Telecom

Maybe this will be the point when an authority on Isle of Man comes in with a rescue solution as alot of business for the island would be disappearing

I doubt there would be any involvement from government, for a failed business. Callkey is (was?) a tiny business and very few people here (or anywhere) have ever heard of them.

Getting involved with a callback company, which is based on (just about legally) working around the rules and regulations of other countries, would be a bit dubious for any government.

They have to go through Customs, too, to enter the UK, so it's not surprising that they have different rules.

CA: SaskTel, Wind postpaid; Rogers, Bell postpaid iPad flex plans; US: T-Mobile postpaid data, prepaid voice; PureTalk (AT&T MVNO) prepaid voice/data; AT&T prepaid iPad plan

Hardware: Too much but notably iPhone 5, iPad Mini Retina LTE, Moto G LTE (N.A. version), iPhone 4. All unlocked.
