![]() So what’s free?
Accessing WAP using GPRS and 3G packet data is free. All other data usage is chargeable. This includes dial-up data and WEB usage over GPRS and 3G packet data. It does not say anything about using this international so what they mean can also be just local access in jersey or the UK. Checking mail will cost money, using voip over ip will cost money. I think that there is still a long way to go to get roaming free internet access. What we have now is receive call free of roaming and all these providers work using callback system. When you talk about data there is no such thing as callback. You access the network of the provider in the country you are in an they charge for that. http://www.jerseytelecom.com/templat...B.aspx?id=1026 also when you go to the bottum of this link you will see that jersey telecom will charge you roaming cost for receiving a call ik the UK (example) France, Portugal, so no roaming free receiving calls using their pay as you go card. |
