As mentioned in that thread above, they were going to pull the plug without any sort of notification. However, they had a change of mind and have now sent out a notice. This will at least give those that want to port out the opportunity.


Dear customer name,

This notice is intended to inform you that on July 23, 2010 your MyGlobalTalk services will no longer be available. Geos Communications has decided to discontinue all telephony services and mobile applications. Before the service is shut down, I would like to inform you of the following items.

As of July 23, 2010 all international calling will be disabled.

As of June 23, 2010 you will no longer be able to add additional pre-paid calling credit to your account.
If you have a Unique Telephone Number (DID) associated with your account, you have 30 days to port the number to another provider.
All services, including E911, will be completely disabled on July 23, 2010.
