Default Trip Review: USA + Canada - 09-08-2019, 02:16

Recently back from a trip to US and Canada using the SIM2Fly.

I had a couple of Asian SIM2Fly SIMs for both myself and my wife. We loaded them up with 800 Baht each and signed up for the 799 Baht 15 day, 4GB packages. Worked like clockwork once we arrived. I did Youtube music streaming, lots of maps and Facetime calls. Had one issue toward the end of the trip on t-mobile. Needed to load some Amazon pages, but they just did not load properly. A guy in the store also had t-mobile and he said he had not seen such slow speeds before. Makes me think roamers may get lesser speeds at times.

With a bit more planning I would have likely got a local SIM. I did try at an AT&T and T-Mobile, but quite a nightmare. Walmart sells a variety of pre-paid sims with less hassle.

Cons:
- Would have liked to have a local number
- 2nd class citizen data speeds
Pros:
- Coverage by both AT&T or T-Mobile
- Hassle free switch to Canada
- 8GB for 1 month was enough
