So it doesn't actually say that there will be a tax applied in the US, or what that tax is, and yet I'm definitely being charged an extra $0.02 on each outgoing call and SMS.
Well, It is not 'hidden'. A few months ago I had something to call about and asked them specifically what tax this was that you are charging [kind of tax, not rate] and they never got back to me. I suggest it is your term to ask and have them email the results to you. People at the call centers would not really be in a position to know.
