Piranha also lets you switch to AT&T network by accessing your account web page. You would want to use AT&T because their data rates are cheaper---all other rates are higher.

I just switched to AT&T from T-Mobile and it took less than 15 minutes. That is a record for me. I turn on the phone and get the wrong [current] network. I then manually select the right [new] network and it does not accept the new network. Then I turn off the phone [with auto network select on] and then turn the phone on again. After about 5 minutes a message comes up and says it might take a little while to find the new network. Eventually it does. I would suggest anyone who might change networks and lives in the US to experiment with this so they know how to do it if needed. And know how fast it might take to change network.
