Usually when you first log in your home network you will receive configuration messages and the phone will be configured automatically. you might be asked to save and confirm.
sometimes the messages will also contain text with the apropiate settings, just in case.
my giffgaff -o2 network- used last week did fine on configurating automatically! (i donīt remember if i was asked for save or confirm)
no settings in the texts.
