Hi,
I am currently travelling through Bosnia and going down to Croatia for a couple of weeks.
I have a new BB Bold and a new pearl. I will be getting new sim cards. Just for the record, they expire after 10 months, I usually return every year, but always have to purchase a new card.
Also the comment regarding Canada, I am from Toronto Canada, and there is no contract required. If you have an unlocked phone, you just have to get a plan, you are not required to sign a 12 month. By the way, in Toronto Virgin mobile has a great deal, NEW Blackberry pearl is on sale for $99 plus you can pay an extra $30 to unlock it and there you go, a great phone, Great Canadian company.
Hope this helps.

Forgive me, but in Canada and Australia you have to sign a contact for at least 12 months usually, so I just want to be sure I understand correctly and plan accordingly as I only need the service for the month of July while I am travelling.
I've decided to go to Prague and Vienna as well, so I suppose I will need to get SIM cards there too.
cheers,
