I don't think this has been mentioned here yet, but there's another Vistream international calling SIM in Germany, PTT Mobile. While it has some rates that are quite low (such as 3.9 cents/min to Polish landlines and 16 cents/min to Polish mobiles), it has a 19 cent connection charge and bills in one-minute increments. Like most international SIMs, the most competitive rates are to guest-worker countries, while landlines in the USA and Western Europe are 7.9 cents/min.
