Even if the SIM doesn't officially work, there are dial-around codes you can use (*xxxxx, I forget the precise number). Less convenient, but definitely workable.

I'd guess based on your descriptions that you have full functionality though. When I have tried the SIM in unsupported phones, dialing fails - no callback occurs unless I use the * code.
