I managed to purchase and register an Aldi Talk SIM, even with my limited German. (They don’t require any info in the store, but you do have to register on-line, by phone or fax.)

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get it to stay connected via GPRS/UMTS for more than 5 seconds. It does connect, but then immediately disconnects. I am using a PC card.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or any ideas of where to look for help? Unfortunately, my German is limited to ordering from a menu (and even then, I have a limited choice!)

On rare occasions, it will stay connected for around 30 secs.
