I tried it about a year ago and wasn't able to log on to any of the 3G nets here (Vodafone, TIM, Cosmote) but could of course use the 2G/GPRS nets of these providers.
Has anything changed?

I just checked. Unfortunately no 3G with any networks in Greece.
