* COMPLETELY FREE call diversion to UK landlines (01,02,0845/0870) * COMPLETELY FREE call diversion to mobiles (02/Vodafone/T-Mobile/Orange/3) FREE call diversion to 48 countries The DM SIM card even comes with 15 Euros of call credit pre-loaded on it! There is no contract or minimum term - just a simple web based payment scheme: ??? |
Form the picture design looks like United Mobile. But no idea about call forwarding.

I saw that offer also.
Here a reply from the seller to my Ebay questions: "For rates you need to tell me which country you will be in, and which country you will be calling. Top-ups are by credit-card on the web. If you buy, you get two numbers with the SIM: GB (+44) (voice and free international call diversion), and FL (+423) (voice, sms and outgoing CLI). No charge to receive calls on either number." Voice from BOTH +44 and +423? How does that work? The SIM chooses based on the country of origin -- if in UK then +44, else +423? Only my guess. Stan |
My guess is that they setup a free UK premium rate number and forward it to the UM number. BT K-Rate numbers (such as 070059) can be forwarded pretty much anywhere in the world for free.

It sounds to me like self-contradiction :D |

NO FREE LUNCH. Somebody has to pay for PREMIUM service -- EVENTUALLY! Must be "included" in the rates somewhere? Or when invokes (uses), the PREMIUM service provider is somehow compensated for that usage. Stan |

So...both parties have to listen to ads during 95% time of each call  or, how is this stuff "financially powered"??? |

Good idea in theory, but "free diversion" from one of these UK numbers is only useful to the person being called, the caller pays more than calling a mobile. Nothing that can't be set up yourself with any international sim and a free (to called!) "personal rate" number from people like Flextel.com. Good marketing though. |
Thats correct. I have for ages number from OpenTelecom http://www.open-telecom.co.uk/070_pn2_numbers.html I don't use it, but this morning I have tried if it is still working? It worked and still forwards the call to my Czech mobile phone mumber. They charge 50p/minute, at least this is what they say on the web pages.
