Orange ES 100 MB 1€/day EU roaming
Seems like more and more operators are starting to offer acceptable data roaming.
Orange Spain now offers 100 MB per day at 1 euro per day in the whole EU/EEA. Includes LTE/4G in some countries: http://movil.orange.es/tarifas/desde...ero/go-europe/ |

A word of caution however... this particular offer looks good on face value, but it seems to be coupled with a voice element which costs an additional 1.21 for 10 minutes of incoming or outgoing calls. If you do not use the full 10 minutes you still end up paying. This is besides the fact that if you only receive calls then the effective cost per minute is above the EU stipulated rate. However, if you are using it as a data-only product it makes sense (i.e. if you do not make or receive a call on any particular day) in which case you only pay the 1 euro for the data. By the way, Orange in other European countries also have "Go Europe" though invariably far worse value for money: http://www.orange.com/en/goeuropesite/Go-Europe |
is the new GO EUROPE package compatible with this simcard (mundo)? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPANISH-OR...-/320748767595

Yes, Go Europe is compatible with tarjeta Mundo. Here is a screen shot from the client area showing the compatible modules for the Orange Mundo SIM:

great deal, 1eur. for 100MB for all EU countries!

Orange UK is a real laggard on this, but has good international rates from UK on Camel plan, which is important for me.

how many times per day can the GO EUROPE (1eur. for 100MB) data package be activated?

By the way, if you have a SIM that does not have an orange "4G" painted on it (placed on the nano SIM area, so visible on any SIM size), you can have it replaced in an Orange Spain store for a new one with the 4G symbol. Photo ID that has been used for the initial registration has to be presented in the store. They do it free of charge if the old SIM is less than 12 months old. 5€ is charged for older SIMs. This does not give you 4G at this moment as Mundo tariff does not include it. I suppose that in not too far future all Orange tarifs will include 4G as is the case with 3G today. |
so every 24hrs 1eur is charged automatically or only when data connection is detected?
