"Abroadband" internet sim
Does anyone have experience? He would buy but I'm not sure!

I've used it, very reliable, and sometimes the cheapest and easiest option, though less competitive in last year or so, with Piranha and now free roaming from T-Mob (at least for US residents).
Roamline is similar idea, has better rates in US and Europe. At least post-paid, so I'm not stuck with lots of credit on legacy sim cards! |
Abroadbad is terminating their service end of March, 2014, see website.
I'll order a roamline SIM. Mainly I need the data abroad for triggering Betamax calls to a local SIM when there are problems to enable data on that SIM. |

not cheap, but for a few days in Russia, and other non-EU countries outside North America, it has been best option, rock solid reliable, cheaper than Roamline, truphone, etc.
