Wind - credit expiry?
Hi
Does anyone know if credit expires on a Wind card after a certain period please? The remaining credit I put on in May was still available for my September trip this year and I wasn't charged the 5 euros activation fee for the unlimited Internet option. It'll probably be next August when I'm back in Italy so planning to buy the credit before I leave this week - just not sure whether to add it to my account now or leave it until I return next year if there's a danger I might lose it. Thank you Tracey |
Credit expires after 12 months from activation or last refill.

Thank you Effendi :)

I have a WIND sim which is expiring in two weeks. I bought a top up scratch card to recharge from abroad to extend the life of my sim prior to the expiry date, for an upcoming trip. However it seems the card is useless since I cannot dial 4242 from abroad. Can these top up cards be used abroad? I also have the WIND app and the sim is registered in my name, but it does not accept my credit card or paypal account.
How can I top up WIND from abroad? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2 |
Try to call *124*4242#
You should be called back by the system - then you can top up. |

I used http://www.rechargemysim.de/ and relucatantly paid the fee to top up from abroad. Once I had credit, I was able to call *124*4242# and top up using the scratch off card that I cleverly purchased and held onto in order to strategically extend the lifetime of my SIM prior to expiration. Next visit I intend to do the same, but leave some credit so that I can use this approach without a problem. Grazie mille @alexecca. Seems to me that if they want to restrict online top ups to Italian credit cards and Italian PayPal accounts, they should make an exception for (dual) citizens that are living abroad that have neither. One would think that repatriating euros would be a good thing. Pretty sure the Romans would have done it that way :D |
