KeepGo - International prepaid 3G data roaming sim cards - avoid internet roaming charges

I am probably going to buy a sim from them. If I do, I'll let you know how it goes. Seems like a good option for one time use in multiple countries. The data is $6/day for 100mb and there are no upfront costs.

I only need it for an 8 day trip, so I don't want to have to bother with topping off, or high upfront costs, etc.

I ordered a SIM from them. They actualyl send you 2 sims. One is a backup. If you don't need it, you can use it next time and save the shipping charges ($8). I'll report back in a month after my trip on how it worked.

Well, I hope that is because they are a wonderful folk and service.
And not an issue with flaky SIM cards.
But perhaps they think you will like it so much you will activate both or give it to someone else who will activate it.

And it is probably the cheapest way to acquire new customers.

I bought a SIM from KeepGo. You tell them the countries you are going to and they send you the sim. I paid $6 a day for 50mb. It worked perfectly in Germany, Hungary and Austria. It was even on for an extra 1/2 day beyond what I paid.

I didn't do extensive testing, but the speeds seemed good. I was on the Orange network mostly. I got around 2.5 MBIT/sec download when I did test the speed.

It is probably the most convenient/cheapest option for multiple countries over a fairly short period. You can do better buying individual sims for each country, but that is a hassle.

They used to also send you out unactivated SIMs which you could later activate online. For some countries they make a great deal of sense.

Yes, I did get an extra sim. It saves the $8 shipping charge for next time.

For 1 country, it is probably not a great deal, unless you are on a short trip. I also like, vs some of the others, that it is limited to what you buy in advance and there are no overage charges (at least for data).

In the US, I have a $45 unlimited everything plan (sim is $15), so I would be paying 30x$6=$180 just for data! No deal there. If you lived outside the us though, I don't think you could easily get that sim shipped to you- hence the convenience of KeepGo.
