Applicants are: Telefonia Dialog - a landline operator (wholly owned by copper conglomerate KGHM which is also a large shareholder of Polkomtel - Plus GSM), PTK Centertel (Orange Poland) Telekomunikacja Kolejowa (Railway Telecom - the telecoms unit of the national railway company PKP) P4 (renamed from Netia Mobile), the owner of the 4th Polish 3G licence resigned to apply for a GSM licence this time. P4 claims that it made serious progress in setting a national GSM roaming agreement with one of the existing GSM operators. |
What's your favourite Przemolog?
And when P4/Netia will start with 3G? |

Well, in I think that in either case it will not be Orange (unless it pays crazy money :)). Dialog is OK but it's rather close to Polkomtel (by the common shareholder) so it won't be a very real competitor :). And Railway Telecom has some good reputation as an internet provider, but Polish Railways have no good reputation at all :P. And one more important issue - the company is state owned and the current Polish goverment supported by rather xenophobic "catholic socialists" and populists may go Belarussian-like Best way in the case  Quote:
BTW, I wonder what P4 stands for? I guess it's an abbreviation for something like "Polish 4th UMTS Operator" :D. |
